Vikram Doraiswami for best possible understanding between Dhaka and Delhi

Eastern Times  correspondent, Dhaka, 1 march: Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Vikram Kumar Doraiswami today emphasised ensuring the best possible understanding between the two countries.

While inaugurating the renovated Media Centre at Jatiya Press Club, the High Commissioner termed the Bangladesh media “vibrant, free, colorful and very vocal”.

Jatiya Press Club President Farida Yasmin, General Secretary Elias Khan, Joint Secretary Mainul Alam, and Treasurer Shahed Chowdhury were, among others, present.

The High Commissioner said Jatiya Press Club is a place that demonstrates the spirit of Bangladesh.

Doraiswami said India values and respects the independence and story of Bangladesh’s struggle.

Jatiya Press Club president said the relationship between the two countries is expanding on all fronts and laid emphasis on more cooperation between respective media.

She recalled the Indian High Commission’s contribution in upgrading the Media Centre.

The Jatiya Press Club president said they are extremely grateful to Indian High Commission in Dhaka for the support.
