Shuvendu Adhikari severs ties with TMC Amit Shah to visit Bengal this weekend

Eastern Times, Kolkata: Finally resigning from the Trinamool Congress, Shuvendu Adhikari finally served all ties as the primary member of the party after holding the position of minister and MLA on Thursday. With the end of the first episode, the second episode is likely to start as BJP president (Home Minister) Amit Shah will visit Midnapore on Saturday to hold a public meeting.

As per the news from the political circle, Amit Shah may grant membership to join BJP to Adhikari on Saturday.

Shuvendu did not give any reason in his resignation letter for leaving the party that he had sent to chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee.

He resigned from the post of Trinamool MLA on Wednesday. However, Assembly Speaker Biman Bandyopadhyay on Thursday said the resignation letter was not valid.

Shuvendu’s resignation letter is under consideration and will be informed later. It is only a matter of time before Shuvendu joins the BJP.

Several other well-known faces of the Trinamool including Shuvendu may join BJP. The list includes Sunil Mandal, a former Trinamool MP from Burdwan East, Shilbhadra Dutta, a Trinamool MLA from Barrackpore and Biswajit Kundu, an MLA from Kalna.

There is also a possibility of Jitendra Tiwari, the MLA of Pandaveshwar and the mayor of Asansol of joining the party.

However, only after his meeting with Mamata Banerjee on the 18th will it be confirmed which way he is on.

In this regard, BJP state president Dilip Ghosh said, “December is going to be a historic month in Bengal politics. People like Shuvendu Adhikari who have been doing politics for a long time with their heads held high will get job opportunities after they join the party”

. Meanwhile, Shuvendu follower leader Kanishka Panda has hinted at a breakthrough likely to develop on the 19th.

It is indicated by Kanishka Panda that between Darjeeling and Digha there will be 60 to 62 MLAs, 10 to 12 MPs, 4 to 5 district presidents will join the meeting of Amit Shah.

Amit Shah will hold a meeting at Medinipur College ground. The Bengal political community is waiting to see what is likely to happen that day.
