Pantho Rahman elected DCAB president for 2021

Eastern Times Correspondent, Dhaka, 29 December: Pantho Rahman, special correspondent of Channel i, was elected president of Diplomatic Correspondents Association Bangladesh (DCAB) for the year 2021.

AKM Moinuddin, Diplomatic correspondent of United News Bangladesh(UNB, was elected general secretary of the DCAB. Monday said a press release of the DCAB.

Chief Election Commissioner M Shafiqul Karim announced the results after the annual general meeting held at Jatiya Press Club in Dhaka Monday. Business editor of The Daily Observer Nizamuddin Ahmed and former DCAB president Anis Alamgir assisted the CEC as ECs in conducting the election.

Mahfuzur Rahman Mishu of Jamuna TV was elected vice president contesting against Robiul Haque.

Other office bearers are joint secretary Abu Hena Emrul Kayes of Bangla Vision and Treasurer Atiqur Rahman of asianmail 24 .com.

Five elected executive members of the committee are Raheed Ejaz of Daily Prothom Alo, Angur Nahar Monty of Channel News24, Rased Mehedi of Daily Samakal, Nurul Islam Hasib of Bangladesh Post and Ahasan Jewel of Somoy TV.
